The Boston Public Library welcomes everyone to Special Collections and to the Leventhal Map and Education Center.

In order to use material in the Arts, Archives, Rare Books & Manuscripts or Map Center, you must have a reading room account that is separate from your BPL library account. With this account, you can:

• Schedule appointments to use the reading room
• Request material to see in the reading room
• Track what you've already seen and what items you might want to see in the future
• Ask for scans of materials
